Moldovan wines were a great success at the Amsterdam Wine Festival 2025 - National Bureau of Vine and Wine
As noted by the department, Moldova's stands were the most popular at the Amsterdam Wine Festival, which took place from September 5 to 7. Long queues at the Moldovan pavilion did not disappear throughout the 3-day event. Moldovan sparkling wines were in great demand among the public, but producers arrived with limited supplies. Sparkling wines were quickly sold out on the very first day. However, the surprise of the festival were local Moldovan varieties. Alb de Onicani, a local Moldovan variety, was a great success and aroused the curiosity of Dutch guests, while Feteasca Regală and blends with Feteasca Neagră raised many questions about the origin of these varieties, unknown in Western Europe. White wines were in exceptional demand. Moldovan Pinot Grigio was one of the most sought-after products of the festival, while Sauvignon Blanc and other white wines enjoyed continued success. “The Dutch were fascinated to discover varieties they had never encountered in other countries,” the organizers noted. In the red wine category, Moldovan Pinot Noir exceeded all expectations. “The success in Amsterdam confirms the growing position of Moldovan wines on European markets, demonstrating that Moldova offers not only quality, but also uniqueness thanks to its local varieties,” the National Bureau of Vine and Wine emphasized. // 12.09.2025 — InfoMarket
