The Cricova Winery will be included in the list of monuments protected by the state
The relevant amendments to the Register of Protected Monuments were approved by the government at a meeting on March 26. As specified by the Ministry of Culture, the recognition followed the declaration of the Cricova complex as an object of national cultural heritage in accordance with the Law on the Declaration of the Combinatul de Vinuri Сricova Complex as an Object of National Cultural Heritage, as well as in the context of the inclusion of the winery in the UNESCO Tentative List, which secured its status as a national and international cultural monument. Other changes and clarifications were also made to the register of protected monuments. As noted by the Ministry of Culture, the information on the national heritage in the register has been updated for its better protection and popularization, and the proposed changes are important for correcting erroneous or incomplete data on architectural monuments.
