Moldovan wine exports to the EU have tripled over the last decade, and now Moldova exports wine to 68 countries

Daniela DiPierro, Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Moldova, stated this while speaking at the National Wine Day. She noted that the U.S. has been strongly supporting Moldova's wine sector for more than 20 years. This assistance helps to improve the national wine heritage, supporting the evolution of the wine industry towards higher quality products. “Thus, economic opportunities have been created for more than 150,000 Moldovans, including 50,000 winegrowers. Moldovan wine exports to the EU have tripled in the last decade and Moldova now exports wine to 68 countries. This fact reflects the growing quality and recognition of Moldovan wine abroad,” Daniela DiPierro stressed. She noted that Moldovan wine is not only a source of national pride and economic growth in rural areas. “Each bottle is an ambassador of Moldovan culture and identity, contributing to a solid international image of the country. I would like to express gratitude to our partners at the National Office of Vine and Wine, which is an innovative public-private partnership, as well as the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry,” said Charge d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Moldova. // 07.10.2024 - InfoMarket.
