The third DeepTech GigaHack 2025 technology marathon will take place in Chisinau from September 12 to 14, with a prize fund of 240,000 lei
Over 300 participants—students, young IT talents, researchers, designers, entrepreneurs, and experienced experts—will work for 48 hours to create prototypes and solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence, fintech, energy, healthcare, agrotechnology, cybersecurity, digital education, and gamification, as well as in the open category format. A total of eight tasks are planned, each valued at 30,000 lei, forming a total prize fund of 240,000 lei. The best ideas will have the opportunity to be further developed in partnership with leading organizations and companies, including PNUD Moldova and the Italian government (EnergyTech), Orbility (AI-Parking Assistant), Beden Grup and Invitro Diagnostics (HealthTech), eGA and the Agency for Electronic Governance (Cybersecurity), the National Bank of Moldova and Fineguide.ai (FinTech), Orange Systems (CyberEduQuest), EIT Food (AgriTech), and EU4Innovation East & UMAEF (Open Challenge). The organizers emphasize that this is not just a coding competition, but a practical test based on the real needs of business and society: from diagnosing diseases using AI and smart parking to protecting digital platforms and learning through gaming mechanisms. In addition to cash prizes, the hackathon offers participants the opportunity to quickly create a minimum viable product (MVP), gain access to mentors and experts in technology, law, and business development, and build valuable contacts with investors and companies. The project is being implemented with the support of EU4Innovation East, a regional EU initiative co-financed by the French government and implemented by Expertise France, with the participation of the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF), PNUD Moldova, the Italian government, and the Swedish-funded Innovate Moldova program. // 28.08.2025 — InfoMarket.
