
Moldova will receive a $2.1 million grant to modernize medical rehabilitation services
The government has approved the signing of a grant agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, under which Moldova will receive $2.113 million in non-repayable financial assistance. The funds will be used to modernize and improve medical rehabilitation services. The grant will help optimize services for patients at high risk of cardiovascular diseases such as stroke and myocardial infarction. The project also provides for the development of national protocols for the prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases, training for multidisciplinary primary care teams, expansion of digital health and telemedicine programs, public awareness campaigns, and the development of guidelines and procedures for the integration of rehabilitation and follow-up services for patients after stroke and heart disease.
