
Almost 5,600 small and medium-sized enterprises in Moldova received EU assistance in 2024, and the total amount of financial assistance allocated to them amounted to about 166 million euros.
This is stated in the EU materials on the implementation of EU4Business - a comprehensive initiative of the European Union, which provides for the provision of support by the European Union to small and medium-sized enterprises in 5 Eastern Partnership countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The EU supports the development of SMEs by improving access to finance and business development services, as well as by promoting the optimization of the regulatory framework for business. As noted, in Moldova, within the framework of EU4Business, 40 projects were implemented in 2024 to support SMEs for 165.8 million euros. Assistance was received by 5,594 small and medium-sized enterprises of Moldova. Almost 13 thousand jobs (12,975) were created within the framework of these enterprises.// 13.08.2025 – InfoMarket.
