In the Nisporeni district of Moldova, 134 million lei were allocated for the implementation of 46 projects within the framework of the European Village and European Village Express programs.

This was discussed during a meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and representatives of local authorities and deconcentrated services of the Nisporeni district, where they discussed regional development priorities, projects implemented thanks to state investments, and the challenges faced by local communities. As reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the head of government specified that by 2028, when Moldova will be able to benefit from European funding preceding its accession to the EU, city hall specialists must strengthen their skills in writing projects so that our country can achieve a high level of utilization of financial assistance. In addition, according to the prime minister, by this time all settlements in the country must have the necessary conditions: access to drinking water and sewerage, repaired roads and street lighting. The participants in the meeting noted that over the past 4 years, government investments have brought tangible results for over 36,000 residents of Nisporeni district. People highly appreciate the modernization of schools, kindergartens and hospitals. According to the mayors, the problems that persist in some localities include the lack of access to water supply and sewerage systems, as well as unpaved roads. "All the projects implemented in Nisporeni district demonstrate that Moldova is moving in the right direction - towards a European future built here, at home, with investments that ensure comfort, safety and better living conditions for people," Dorin Recean emphasized. According to him, in particular, 15 million lei were allocated to equip Nisporeni District Hospital with a photovoltaic installation, a modern oxygen production system, intensive care equipment, beds and medical furniture, anesthesia and resuscitation equipment, as well as equipment for the operating unit. At the same time, over 11 million lei were invested in the reconstruction and equipment of kindergartens in the villages of Vărzăreşti, Bărboieni, Cristesti, gymnasiums in Milesti, Zberoaie and Balauresti, as well as the Mircea Eliade Theoretical Lyceum in Nisporeni. In total, about 134 million lei were allocated for 46 completed and ongoing projects within the government programs "European Village" and "European Village Express". Also, many settlements in the district have access to drinking water: 45 km of water pipes, 2 artesian wells, a water tower and 2 pumping stations have been built. The reconstruction of 2 km of the road in Bolduresti and 4.5 km between the villages of Șișcani and Marinici has been completed. This year, the government will repair 3 more road sections within the program "Europe is Nearby", the investments will exceed 19 million lei. // 22.07.2025 — InfoMarket.
