Tech startups will be able to receive up to 2 million lei under the state support program
The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, announced the resumption of the Digital Innovation Support Program. Tech startups will be able to receive grants of up to 2 million lei. The government has allocated 27.1 million lei for the implementation of this program in 2025, and the 3-year budget of the program is 190 million lei, followed by a 2-year monitoring period. According to ODA, the program provides for funding in two categories: startups at the initial stage of development with an annual turnover of up to 5 million lei can receive grants of up to 500 thousand lei, subject to their own contribution of at least 20%, while startups with a turnover of up to 25 million lei can apply for grants of up to 2 million lei, subject to a mandatory own contribution of at least 50%, confirmed by investments from venture funds or crowdfunding platforms. “The relaunch of this program was a response to the growing interest from startup founders and the valuable experience accumulated in previous stages. Now is the time to bring innovative ideas to life. We invite entrepreneurs to apply. The process is simple, accessible and takes place entirely online through the official ODA platform,” said ODA Director Vadim Codreanu. Recall that the program was launched in October 2022, the second stage started in November 2023. Based on the results of two rounds, 31 companies received grants for 13.2 million lei, and the volume of attracted investments exceeded 25.2 million lei. Details on the conditions of participation and the application process are available on the ODA website. // 16.07.2025 — InfoMarket
