
Moldova hopes to attract new investments from France, 212 companies with French or mixed capital are already operating in our country - Dumitru Alaiba
This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, noting that he is currently in Paris, where he is discussing with French officials and representatives of French companies issues of expanding trade and attracting new investments. Dumitru Alaiba emphasized that during the meeting with the Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Mathias Cormann, he discussed reforms that make Moldova a more attractive place for business: reducing bureaucracy, digitalizing public services, facilitating access to financing and expanding sales markets. He presented these achievements to representatives of a number of French companies, with whom he discussed the opportunities that Moldova offers to foreign investors. The Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization noted that the strategic geographic location, easy access to the EU market, well-trained workforce and favorable legislative framework - all this makes our country an increasingly attractive place for business. Dumitru Alaiba encouraged them to consider Moldova as a destination for their next investments, emphasizing that there are currently 212 companies with French or mixed capital operating in Moldova, providing over 4,000 stable and well-paid jobs. “This is a good start, and we know that the potential is much greater!” said the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. He noted that he had discussed with the Executive Director of the French Development Agency Philippe Orliange the projects through which France contributes to the development of Moldova – the necessary investments in infrastructure, energy, agriculture. “These are projects that not only support our economy, but also create jobs and improve people's lives.
