
The European Union will provide Moldova with a grant of 40 million euros under the EU for Sustainability and Governance program.
This is provided for by the financing agreement signed on May 11, 2023 between Moldova and the European Commission, the bill on ratification of which the Cabinet approved at a meeting on Wednesday. The agreement is aimed at supporting the development of human capital and promoting equality of rights, at promoting national stability and territorial integration, consolidating the social and institutional capital of Moldova, promoting regional security, ensuring the resilience of agri-food systems to external shocks and crises, etc. The agreement will be implemented with the assistance of institutions selected by the European Commission. The project implementation period is 72 months.
