
Moldova will receive from the EU a new 40 million euro assistance package for the National Army to strengthen defense capabilities - Defense Ministry.
According to the defense ministry, the 40 million euro aid, which was approved by the European Union's Foreign Affairs Council, is provided through the European Peace Facility. The aid earmarked for the Moldovan National Army will be used to develop the national airspace surveillance capability, develop transport and transport capabilities, and enhance the logistic and communication capabilities of the National Army. It is notable that earlier the EU approved 47 million euro of financial aid for 2021-2022 for the development of Moldova's defense capabilities.
