
In Moldova, with the support of external donors, it is planned to introduce new projects for the development of road infrastructure.
This was discussed during the meeting held by the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Lilia Dabija with members of the Foreign Investors Association (FIA) and UN Resident Coordinator in Moldova Simon Springett. The parties discussed foreign assistance projects for the reconstruction of roads, as well as the possibilities of combating the mass exodus of the population through the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects that will significantly improve the quality of life of our citizens. Lilia Dabija assured the FIA members that the ministry team is open to any partnership and investment projects to use new opportunities for the country's development. Also at the meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator in Moldova, Simon Springett, the topic of external assistance projects for the development of road infrastructure was touched upon. The officials reviewed the programs of assistance to our country, especially projects implemented with the support of the UN in the field of road infrastructure and regional development. In this context, Lilia Dabija presented the future priorities of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and thanked the UN representatives for the assistance provided to our country, especially for the implementation of the Sustainable Green Cities in Moldova project, which provides for the improvement of Corridor 11, a bypass road near the village Izbiste, the Peresecina-Hirtopul Mare-Ohrincea road, as well as Corridor 13, the Pirlita-Nisporeni road, etc.// 25.04.2023 — InfoMarket.
