AIPA has received 211 applications for advance subsidies (245.96 million lei) for investment projects aimed at improving living and working standards in rural areas.

According to the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA), applications were received between June 1 and August 23. Within the first measure of support "Improvement and development of rural economic infrastructure" (construction/reconstruction/upgrading of local public roads and bridges, expansion/rehabilitation/upgrading of water supply, water treatment and sewage systems), 34 applications for 75.76 million lei in subsidies were received. Let us remind that under this measure, the applicant's contribution must be at least 20% of the project budget. Under the second support measure - "Rural renewal and development", which provides for improvement and expansion of basic local services for rural population, including leisure and culture (repair/ renovation/ construction of public buildings and areas for organizing markets/fairs/exhibitions; construction of care centers for children, elderly and persons with special needs, etc.), 169 applications for 166.69 million lei were received in total. The personal contribution of the beneficiary must be at least 20% of the project budget. Under the third support measure - "Diversification of rural economy through non-agricultural activities", eight applications for 3.51 million lei were received. This measure provides support for projects in the field of: opening repair shops; creation and modernization of cinemas, local TV and radio stations; construction/reconstruction and use of direct sale points of food and non-food products only of own/local production; preservation, development and diversification of crafts and traditional trades; purchase of non-agricultural machinery and equipment, including production and energy supply systems using renewable resources.
