The Chief Administrator of the Balti Free Economic Zone, Marin Ciobanu, announced this while speaking on the air of the TVR Moldova channel. He recalled that in general there are 7 free economic zones in Moldova, and the Balti FEZ was the last to be created in 2010, but during its operation it managed to achieve very tangible indicators that overlap the general indicators of all the others taken together FEZ of Moldova. The Chief Administrator of the Balti FEZ stressed that the country's free economic zones are open to all investors, regardless of their country of origin and industries, if they offer investments to launch new industries in Moldova, create new jobs. According to him, the main export product in the Balti FEZ is the products for the automotive sector. However, a number of Romanian companies operate in the same free economic zone. These companies provide design and construction services to large investors such as Draexlmaier, Gebauer & Griller, Sumitomo, etc that are opening their new production sites in the Balti free economic zone of Moldova. Marin Ciobanu noted that almost 99% of the total investors in the FEZs operate in the Balti FEZ. He also recalled that the this FEZ is present in 11 regions of Moldova where there are its sub-zones.
