Contactless payments straight from your Xiaomi band or watch. Now with maib cards via Xiaomi Pay

Maib and Mastercard have delivered an innovative project, bringing a fully digital contactless payment experience to compatible Xiaomi wearables with NFC—bands and watches—via Xiaomi Pay. From now on, any maib customer can add Mastercard cards to their Xiaomi Pay digital wallet and pay instantly by simply holding their band or watch near the POS terminal.

What is Xiaomi Pay?
Xiaomi Pay is a contactless payment service that enables fast and secure payments with a compatible Xiaomi wearable device using NFC technology.

How do you add your maib card to Xiaomi Pay?
If you own a compatible Xiaomi band or watch with NFC, follow these steps to add your Mastercard® card to Xiaomi Pay:

  1.      1. Install the Xiaomi Wear app (for Android) or Xiaomi Wear Lite (for iOS) on your phone.
  2.      2. Sign in with your Mi account or create a new one, and select the region “Moldova”.
  3.      3. In the “Devices” section, select your Xiaomi device: the compatible NFC band or watch.
  4.      4. Activate the device by setting a PIN code and open the “Xiaomi Pay” section.
  5.      5. Enter your maib Mastercard card details and confirm activation via SMS to complete the process.

After you complete these steps, your card is now added to Xiaomi Pay and you can use it for contactless payments.

Which Xiaomi devices are compatible?
Xiaomi Pay is available on Xiaomi wearables with NFC—compatible bands and watches—which you can use for contactless payments by simply holding the device near the POS terminal.

Why choose Xiaomi Pay with maib?
  •      - You don’t need a physical card.
  •      - Maximum security with tokenization. Your card details are not shared with the merchant.
  •      - Works anywhere you see the contactless symbol.
  •      - Your maib cards are always within reach—on your Xiaomi band or watch.
