Fastest mobile network in Moldova according to Commsquare: Orange achieves the highest score in independent DSBO tests for the 14th consecutive year

Fastest mobile network in Moldova according to Commsquare: Orange achieves the highest score in independent DSBO tests for the 14th consecutive year

The quality of a mobile network is measured by everyday experiences: how fast a page loads, whether a video plays without interruptions, and how quickly a call connects. The independent DSBO (Data Services Benchmarking and Optimization) 2025 tests, conducted by Commsquare, confirm that Orange Moldova delivers these experiences at the highest standard, achieving the top score among mobile operators in Moldova.
The evaluation took place between January 9 and 24, 2026, covering the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova: large and small cities, national roads and routes between localities. The tests spanned approximately 3,000 km and included around 90 hours of measurements.

Key testing highlights:

  •      - Orange Moldova total score: 922 points (highest among evaluated operators)
  •      - Test volume: ~20,000 mobile data tests and ~2,800 voice calls per network
  •      - Methodology: ETSI TR 103 559 (DSBO methodology)

High speeds and stability powered by 5G network performance
Orange Moldova recorded average download speeds of up to 127 Mbps, which is 45% higher than the next operator in large cities, while maintaining strong performance in smaller localities and along connecting roads. Data transfer success rates were close to 100%, ensuring consistent user experience.

Smooth video streaming and fast browsing at 5G speeds
Video consumption (including HD and 4K streaming) showed start times of around 1 second with uninterrupted playback, while web browsing recorded average response times of approximately 1.1 seconds.

Strong voice service performance
The tests show call rates of success of up to 99.5% in large cities and 100% in small cities, with average call setup times of around 1.2 seconds.

Ludmila NISTORICĂ, Marketing and Communication Director, Orange Moldova:
“Customers choose a network they can rely on, and that trust is built through consistent experiences. The Commsquare results show that our investments in network development, particularly in 5G, translate into real benefits for our customers — the fastest internet speeds for streaming and a stable connection across the country. We will continue to invest further to maintain this level of performance and expand our 5G network, which our customers trust every day.”
Based on the DSBO results, Commsquare awarded Orange Moldova the “Best Score in the DSBO test 2025” certificate, confirming the network’s performance for the 14th consecutive year.
Orange Moldova continues to invest in the development and modernization of its network to meet growing connectivity needs and deliver a reliable digital experience.
