“We know what it’s like to grow a business at home” – 12 months, 12 inspirational success stories

Maib announces a new social initiative highlighting the experiences of bold entrepreneurs with unconventional ideas and passion-driven ventures. Starting this September, every month the bank will showcase an inspirational journey of entrepreneurs who chose to pursue their dreams in an original way.

A social, not commercial, project
The campaign “We Know What It’s Like to Grow a Business at Home” aims to give visibility to initiatives born out of courage, not just financial calculations. Some have grown large, others are just taking shape — what unites them is their originality and their power to inspire.

“These are the kinds of businesses that, even if they don’t focus on immediate financial gains, have a positive impact and inspire the communities they belong to,” said Diana Driga, Brand Manager at maib. “We choose to showcase stories about passion, courage, and creativity. We want to give those who dream big a platform where they can be seen and supported.”

One month, one story – 12 business perspectives
Over the course of an entire year, a new video will be released each month, each presenting a different perspective on entrepreneurship. All videos will be published on maib’s official channels and will be accessible to the general public. The selection is not based on commercial criteria – it does not matter whether the businesses are clients of the bank; what matters is whether their idea or journey deserves to be known.
We aim to create a genuine archive of inspiration for everyone who dreams of starting, continuing, or believing once again in their own path.
“We want to show that it is possible. It doesn’t matter if the business starts from a modest space, a kitchen, or a balcony. It’s about bold ideas and the courage to take these ideas to the next level, even in the face of significant challenges,” adds Diana Driga.

Do you have a story that deserves to be heard? You could be one of the protagonists of the campaign.
We are looking for bold, memorable businesses—maybe even a little unconventional.

What catches our attention:

  •      - ideas unlike anything you’ve seen before;
  •      - unexpected beginnings;
  •      - boundless passion;
  •      - people who have worked hard to develop an idea that seemed impossible.

This is not a competition. Selection is not based on numbers or results, but on what we feel deserves to be shared.
If you believe your story can inspire, surprise, or change perspectives, we invite you to write to us at:

initiativa.acasa@maib.md:
  •      - who you are;
  •      - what your business story is;
  •      - and why you believe the world should know about it.

We know what it’s like to grow a business at home. maib
