Maib announces the approval of Andreea-Marina Pipernea as an independent member of the Bank Supervisory Board

Maib announces that the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) has approved the appointment of Andreea-Marina Pipernea as an independent member of the Bank Supervisory Board. The decision was made at the NBM Executive Board meeting on August 14, 2025.
 
Andreea-Marina Pipernea brings to the Board over 25 years of experience in financial services, gained across sectors such as banking, asset management, private pensions, insurance, and capital markets. As an experienced board member, Andreea brings with her an extensive track record in managing regulated financial institutions and expertise in corporate governance, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate banking.
 
From 2018 to 2023 Andreea served as CEO of NN Pensii (a subsidiary of ING), the largest private pension fund in Romania, and held important roles at Citi, Erste Group, ABN AMRO Bank from 2002 to 2018.
 
She is certified as an Independent Director, holding a diploma from Henley Business School. Currently, she serves as Managing Partner at APlus Advisory, an M&A consulting firm, and is an angel investor in a number of startups, including some in the Republic of Moldova.
