Maib steps forward to help Ukrainian refugees: estimated more than MDL10 million donation from the bank and its top management to be paid during the year

To help Ukrainian refugees in the country:
- maib's Supervisory Board and CEO have decided to donate their full salaries for February, alongside a substantial donation from all the members of the management board.
- maib will donate a fixed amount per each transaction made on maib debit or credit cards via POS terminal and E-commerce payment. Cardholders wishing to support this initiative can use their cards for payment more often thus maximising the amount donated to refugee support fund. Such transactions are commission free for the card holders. The total amount of donation is estimated to be around MDL 10 million in 2022.

We want to offer this support as soon as possible. The first donations will be done based on transactions made in February.
The details covering the types of transactions, qualifying POS and E-commerce and amount donated per transaction will be communicated to the public shortly.
 
All donations will go to the refugee center and disclosed at the end of each month.
 
Currently maib will be transferig all donations to the Refugee support fund as per the details below. It could be revised depending on the needs in the future.
