The National Bureau of Statistics reported this, without providing data in value terms. According to the agency, at the same time, in July 2023, the volume of industrial production decreased by 4%, compared to the same month of the previous year. The decline in industrial production in July 2023, compared to July 2022, (-4%) was due to lower output in mining (-11.5%) and manufacturing (-7.0%), which led to a 0.3% and 6.3% decline in total industrial production, respectively. At the same time, the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (+32.4%) grew, mitigating the 2.6% decline in total industrial output, respectively. Overall, in January-July 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, production in the extractive industry decreased by 10.3% and in the processing industry by 9.1%. The enterprises producing electricity, heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning registered a growth of 2.2%. According to the statistics, in January-July 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, growth was noted in the following segments: production of beverages (+2%); wood processing and production of wood and cork products, except furniture; production of straw and other plant materials for weaving (+6.1%), production of pharmaceutical products and pharmaceuticals (+32.9%), production in the metallurgical industry (+30.4%), production of computers, electronic and optical products (+11.2%), production of electrical equipment (+54.9%), production of machinery and equipment (up 4.3 times). At the same time, the volume of production decreased at enterprises of food industry (-20.7%); production of textile products (-9.4%), clothing (-16%), paper and paper products (-15.9%), chemicals and chemical products (-41.2%), rubber and plastic products (-15.2%), metal structures and products, except machinery, equipment and installations (-11.1%), cars, trailers and semi-trailers (-13.3%), furniture (-12.9%). In the section tanning and finishing of leather; production of suitcases, bags, saddlery; dressing and dyeing of fur, the decline amounted to 6.4%, while in the section of repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment - 2.8%.
