The Ecolabel symbol has been registered with the State Agency on Intellectual Property.
According to the Environment Ministry, products and services that meet basic ecological criteria will be easier to identify, which will facilitate the introduction of best practices for environmental and public health protection, as well as product processing. The Regulation on Ecolabeling establishes the requirements, the procedure for verifying the conformity of products and services, the criteria for assigning ecolabels and the procedure for monitoring ecolabeled products and services. The ecolabeling system is voluntary and will be assigned to certain groups of products, from basic production areas to tourist accommodation services, and is aimed at: reducing the environmental impact of products or services; informing and encouraging the production of ecolabeled products and services; promoting and applying ecological principles in the design and development of products and services; and improving the sales and/or image of the product as an "ecomarketing" strategy and a strategy to distinguish it from non-ecomarked products and services. The implementation of the Ecolabel is supported by the EU4Environment program and EcoContact. // 24.08.2023 - InfoMarket.
