Cooperation with the Center of Excellence in Finance supports the transformation of the NBM and the European integration of the Republic of Moldova - Anca Dragu

This was stated by the President of the National Bank of Moldova during her participation in the annual meeting of the Governing Council of the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF), which was held in Montenegro. According to the NBM, the event brought together leaders from Central and South-Eastern Europe, who were able to discuss strengthening the capacity of institutions to plan, implement and effectively support reforms, the most important aspects of improving governance, economic sustainability and social justice, and which at the same time contribute to accelerating the progress of candidate countries on the path to European integration. The participants also discussed fundraising strategies aimed at ensuring the continuity and expansion of regional training programs. In her speech, Anca Dragu emphasized the active role of the National Bank of Moldova within the community of the Center of Excellence in Finance, as well as the specific benefits of the NBM LearnOrgLab project - "Institutional Transformation into a Learning-Oriented Organization", implemented with the support of CEF. The project aims to develop institutional and individual capacities by promoting a modern organizational culture based on continuous learning and openness to knowledge sharing. “We are part of one of the most important regional knowledge hubs in the financial sector, and this cooperation has a real impact on the development of institutional and human capacities, which are very important for the reforms in the banking sector and for Moldova’s European integration. We want this cooperation to continue, so that we can continue to transfer the acquired knowledge to other public institutions in Moldova and in the region,” said the NBM Governor. The meeting was organized in the context of CEF’s ongoing commitment to respond to the learning needs of public institutions in the region and to ensure the sustainability of its initiatives through close cooperation with the Governing Council members. The event aimed to strengthen cooperation between Member States, define clear directions for communicating the impact of CEF and establish common responsibilities for mobilizing resources for the future of the organization. // 23.06.2025 — InfoMarket.
