Moldova will receive rapid assistance from the European Union in the event of large-scale cyberattacks
In particular, the government has approved a bill that allows Moldova to access the European Union's Cyber Security Reserve, a European mechanism specifically designed for rapid intervention in the event of large-scale cyberattacks. According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, this will enable our country to take advantage of EU technical support, equipment, and experts to protect government agencies and critical infrastructure, such as energy systems, communications, and hospitals, from cyber threats. This will be possible thanks to an amendment to the Agreement on Moldova's participation in the Digital Europe Program (2021–2027), which the Cabinet approved, noting that this is an important step towards protecting citizens, strengthening digital security, and integrating Moldova into the European digital space. // 06.06.2025 — InfoMarket
