The Ministry of Finance of Moldova will consider measures to support the HoReCa sector and proposals to stimulate its development

This was stated during a meeting that Finance Minister Victoria Belous held with representatives of the National Association of Restaurants and Entertainment Establishments of the Republic of Moldova (MĂR) to discuss support measures for the HoReCa sector. According to the Finance Ministry, during the meeting, the MĂR representatives presented a number of proposals to stimulate the development of the sector, including the promotion of youth employment. The Minister of Finance emphasized openness to dialogue and cooperation, saying that the HoReCa sector is strategic for the national economy and an important stimulus for the development of tourism. She said it is crucial to find solutions that support youth employment and create a legislative framework that meets today's challenges. “We will analyze the proposals and work together to develop effective and sustainable policies,” Victoria Belous stressed. In this context, she asked MĂR representatives to study international practices relevant to the HoReCa sector and identify solutions to support local skilled labor, as well as to fight unfair competition in this sector. The Head of the Ministry of Finance emphasized that all these measures will contribute to the development of consistent and well-founded legislation. // 12.02.2025 - InfoMarket
