
A bilateral screening session on Chapter 30 “External Relations” was held in Brussels as part of Moldova's EU accession negotiation process
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the event was attended by representatives of many key Moldovan institutions, including the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Environment, the State Chancellery and the Office for European Integration. The session was also attended by representatives of the EU delegation, including the Directorate General for Trade (DG Trade), the Directorate General for Energy (DG ENER), the Directorate General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA), as well as other relevant EU institutions. The agenda of the meeting included a number of thematic blocks aimed at strengthening and harmonizing Moldova's regulation and foreign policy with the EU, among which: trade policy; special trade rules; trade protection instruments; common import/export rules - Safeguard Measures Regulation; 2030 sustainable development agenda; development aid and humanitarian policy; anti-corruption measures and good governance practices, etc. The importance of continuing the necessary reforms in these areas was also emphasized in order to ensure a rapid and sustainable European integration process. The meeting represents another important step in consolidating Moldova's relations with the EU and continuing the path of full integration into the European structures, the Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry said.
