Moldova to join European legislation in wine sector - Agriculture Ministry

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry announced this, noting that the Moldovan Parliament passed in the first reading amendments to the Law on Vine and Wine, in order to bring the wine sector in line with the European rules and make it clearer. The agricultural authority specified that these adjustments are necessary to better meet the producers' needs, market requirements and consumers' expectations. According to the amendments, Moldova joins the European legislation in the wine sector. The traceability in the sector will be improved, and it will be possible to trace the path of each bottle of wine - from the grapes to the final product on the shelf in the store. There will be a clearer structure for business in this area, best oenological practices will be applied and the authenticity and quality of Moldovan wines will be guaranteed. // 07.02.2025 - InfoMarket
