The United States and Moldova are working together to counter the proliferation of dual-use items and hazardous materials
The U.S. Embassy in Chisinau reported this, noting that representatives of the Moldovan Customs Service, the General Inspectorate of Border Police, the General Inspectorate of Police, and the State Services Agency took part in the International Dual-Use Investigation Course, which was held from January 13 to 17. The course was conducted with the participation of a team of instructors from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Justice, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). This training will help Moldovan law enforcement agencies identify, interdict, and conduct investigations related to dual-use materials, thereby strengthening the security of Moldova's borders, as well as the security of the Black Sea region as a whole. The course is part of the International Counter-Proliferation Program, implemented by DTRA, which collaborates with partners around the world to combat the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and related materials.// 20.01.2025 — InfoMarket
