Moldova will optimize the process of land management and make more transparent the management of agricultural land
This is stipulated by the amendments approved by the government to a number of documents necessary for the practical implementation of the new Land Code. According to the Cabinet of Ministers, thus, procedures for the purchase and sale of small agricultural land with perennial plantings and an area of up to 0.25 hectares will be simplified. In this case, a notarial certificate will no longer be required, but only a confirming act issued by a local public authority. In case of forced land seizure, the amount of compensation will be equivalent to the market value of the land, and public tenders will be introduced for leasing state-owned land. At the same time, according to the proposed amendments, local councils will decide on the categorization of irrigated or drained land as non-irrigated. At the same time, maintenance work on pastures and hayfields will be carried out at the expense of amounts paid annually by tenants, under the control of local authorities. The new Land Code will come into force on March 7. // 15.01.2025 - InfoMarket.
