In Moldova, a new module, “Sign Up for Services,” has been launched in the government’s EVO e-services application.

This was reported by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Electronic Governance Agency, which noted that citizens can use this module to sign up for an appointment at various government agencies without additional visits or waiting times. The sign-up programming module is integrated with the national platform programari.gov.md and currently includes 15 services provided by 3 government agencies: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (12 services provided by 32 embassies and consulates); the National Archives Agency (2 services); the Entrepreneurship Development Organization (1 service provided by 2 offices). “This module is a new advantage provided to citizens, designed to simplify their lives and save time. We aim to completely redefine the ways in which citizens interact with the state, and we are doing this step by step. The list of services will be expanded as the integration is completed. Finally, we propose that any citizen could simply and easily register for any government service and manage their interaction with the government at any time and in any place, directly from their phone, via EVO,” noted Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. The government service registration module in EVO works as follows: 1. Selecting the desired establishment; 2. Selecting the required service from the list of available services; 3. Selecting a convenient date and time; 4. Filling in personal data automatically filled in based on the user profile; 5. Completing programming. The module makes it easy to manage your schedule, offering the following additional functions: programming details, adding an appointment to your personal calendar, office location on the map, and canceling an appointment. EVO is an integrated government application that simplifies citizens' access to government services. The application, officially launched on June 6, offers access to digital documents, information about citizens and enterprises, the ability to pay for various services, and now the ability to make an appointment. Citizens need an electronic signature to access all EVO functions. Anyone can choose between a mobile electronic signature (offered by Orange or Moldcell) or a signature on a USB stick. Users are advised to set up two-step authentication or install the EVOSign app for quick access and authentication after receiving the electronic signature. The EVO app is available for free on iOS and Android. The app was developed with the support of development partners: the Future Technologies project (FTA), funded by USAID, Sweden and the UK, together with partners Ukraine Moldova Enterprise Fund, the World Bank and UNDP Moldova. Digitalization of public services and simplified access to services are part of the Digital Transformation Strategy of Moldova, which aims to develop a 100% digital society.// 05.11.2024 — InfoMarket
