
Moldovan Parliament adopted 29 legislative initiatives during plenary sessions in June.
The press service of the highest legislative body reported this, noting that out of 29 acts passed in the second reading by parliament, 19 are draft laws, and 10 are resolutions. MPs also voted in the first reading on 17 draft laws, 3 of which are aimed at harmonizing national legislation with the legislation of the European Union. Among the adopted documents are acts regulating the increase in compensation and benefits for young specialists in the field of medicine and pharmacy, optimization of the activities of industrial parks, simplification of the registration procedure for veterinary drugs, encouraging economic agents to donate food to charitable organizations and food banks to help vulnerable populations and prevent food waste. Parliament also approved the attraction of financial assistance provided by the IMF to our country through the Resilience and Sustainability Facility. MPs heard reports on the execution of the state budget for the past year, the state social insurance budget, mandatory health insurance funds, as well as a report on the activities of the People's Advocate for 2023. In addition, a new member of the Central Electoral Commission and a new Secretary General of Parliament were appointed.
