"By 2028, Moldova should become a regional leader in terms of ease of doing business" - Dorin Recean.
Moldovan Prime Minister stated this at a meeting of the working group for the reform of the regulatory framework for entrepreneurial activity. This group is meant to map the obligations and processes established by the normative framework for several sectors of the economy. In particular, it is to collect a map of the requirements and conditions that a company undergoes from creation to closure. If necessary, legislative amendments will be developed to optimize these requirements. Prime Minister, who attended the working group's meeting, said that it is necessary to significantly reduce the number of procedures and the regulatory burden in order to provide businesses with savings of at least 5 billion lei per year. "This means that we are also going to move up in international economic rankings. Today, in most of the current international rankings and indicators, our country occupies a disadvantageous position. We have to change this paradigm," Dorin Recean stated. According to the experts of the Secretariat of the ES, the so-called commitment maps, which are contained in the regulatory framework, will contain information about the processes that an entrepreneur goes through throughout the entire life cycle of a business, including: business initiation, obtaining financing, real estate, fixed assets, hiring personnel, accounting and financial accounting, reports, etc. In total, such a map will contain at least 30 components and several sub-components. It is reported that commitment maps will be prepared for several sectors - agri-food, construction, IT, etc., and experts from development partners -USAID, FAO, UNOPS, etc. - will be involved. // 07.03.2024 - InfoMarket
