The Prime Minister of Moldova announced this as part of his participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos, having held a series of meetings on the sidelines with representatives of international companies, at which he discussed the prospects for cooperation in various key areas of economic development of Moldova. According to the government press service, during a conversation with representatives of Menzies Aviation, Dorin Recean spoke about the importance of strengthening Moldova’s position in the field of airport services and our country’s intention to establish new partnerships for the development of the aviation sector. “We want to attract international companies to provide quality services to our citizens. We create favorable conditions and a safe environment for starting a business and attracting investment to Moldova and work for a prosperous economy, which is manifested in the well-being of every citizen,” said Dorin Recean. Representatives of Menzies Aviation expressed interest in the Moldavian market and readiness to continue the dialogue in the near future. Menzies Aviation is a company with a 200-year history and more than 45 thousand employees. In a dialogue with senior partner, member of the Board of Directors and head of the European office of McKinsey, Massimo Giordano, the Prime Minister of Moldova focused on strategies for stimulating innovation and sustainable economic growth, focusing on areas such as information technology, infrastructure and industries with high development potential. At the same time, Dorin Recean invited Citibank representatives to analyze investment opportunities in Moldova, noting that the government offers support to any company that wants to invest in our country. During the meeting with representatives of Google, it was proposed to sign a memorandum of agreement on strategic cooperation in the field of digital transformation, economic growth and social development, as well as exploring the possibility of monetizing YouTube in Moldova. The Prime Minister also held talks with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ING Group, Karl Guha, on the issue of organizing an event like “Moldova Capital Market Day” in one of the European cities. Dorin Recean invited the Franco-Dutch group to expand its business in Moldova. At a meeting with a representative of Schneider, a company specializing in the digitalization of power grids, the Prime Minister spoke about the development of electrification, our country’s orientation towards renewable energy and the implementation of an electricity distribution project for FEE Nord, which will reduce costs for consumers. The meeting with Huawei Technologies Vice President Lu Yong was dedicated to successes in the field of green energy and cooperation in the implementation of projects aimed at developing energy storage capacity in Moldova. Energy projects were also discussed with Morten Dyrholm, senior vice president of Vestas Wind Systems, one of the world leaders in the production of wind energy production systems. “There is great potential in this segment, and we see that there is interest in its development in Moldova,” said world leaders in the production of wind energy production systems.
