The government to update the National Action Plan on Moldova's accession to the EU for 2024-2027.

The government to update the National Action Plan on Moldova's accession to the EU for 2024-2027.

The relevant draft government decision was elaborated taking into account the conclusions and recommendations of the European Commission, as well as the requirements on the periodicity of updating this Moldova-EU action plan, approved recently by the Cabinet. In particular, the document will be supplemented with 107 new measures with the implementation term both until the end of 2024 and in 2024-2027. For 616 actions, the implementation term will be revised and set until August 2024 at the latest. This is necessary to ensure Moldova's timely preparation for the EU enlargement package, which will be considered next September. Also, 405 actions have been identified and formulated, which respond to the short-term recommendations. At the same time, new measures related to Moldova's previously unidentified commitments within the Association Agreement with the EU and a number of other bilateral agreements with the EU are included, while more ambitious deadlines for the implementation of some measures will be set. Some of the measures will be specified, as well as the costs and sources of financing for all measures envisaged for implementation in 2024. The draft is to be approved by the government. // 26.12.2023 - InfoMarket.
