About 846.9 million lei will be allocated in 2023 to increase the salaries of medical workers and to pay lump-sum allowances to employees of the education system.

This is stipulated by amendments to the Law on State Budget for 2023, approved by the government at a meeting on October 4. In particular, from October 1, 2023, about 48 thousand doctors and nurses working in state medical institutions are scheduled to have their salaries increased. At the same time, the teaching staff of all educational institutions, as well as civil servants and military officers with special status, who protect citizens' security and ensure public order in Moldova, will receive a lump-sum payment of 5 thousand lei. A one-off payment of 3 thousand lei is envisaged for the non-pedagogical, technical and secondary staff of self-financing educational institutions, research institutions, psycho-pedagogical structures and the Center for Information and Communication Technologies in Education. At the same time, the salaries of about 1,700 cultural workers will increase by 25% on average. // 04.10.2023 - InfoMarket.
