Prime Minister Dorin Recean presented the National Plan "Building a European Moldova" and spoke about the Cabinet's priority actions.

While speaking at a briefing on Wednesday, he said the government has organized its activity in four directions included in the government's programme "European Moldova": peace and security, economic development, modernization of infrastructure and reform of the justice system, and 20 priority actions have been identified and are being developed to achieve the set objectives. Dorin Recean said the peace and security plan contains necessary actions to strengthen the state institutions' capacity to face hybrid threats, ensure peace, security and well-being of citizens, so that the business environment should prosper and citizens should feel safe. According to him, the authorities have already shown that they can cope with hybrid threats, but they need to strengthen their capacity even more. Dorin Recean also reminded that Moldova is also part of the regional security infrastructure and must successfully cope with this task. Prime Minister said that the economic development plan contains the government's priority actions to de-bureaucratize the economy and actively promote the digitalization of services in relations with the state and among economic agents. According to him, the plan of infrastructure modernization consists in increasing investments in roads, infrastructure of road bridges integration with Romania and Ukraine, as well as in increasing investments in railway sector, which becomes an increasingly important sector for logistics in Moldova and the region. Dorin Recean pointed out that the justice plan focuses on the necessary actions for prosecutors and judges, so that they can succeed to create their self-governing bodies, after which they are expected to take actions of self-cleansing the system, so that honest and professional judges and prosecutors are promoted in the system. The head of government said that the Prime Minister's office will ensure close monitoring of these priority actions, and called on citizens, civil society and the media to follow closely the process of implementing the proposed actions and submit their recommendations.
