Moldova initiates negotiations on participation in the EU program "Single Market".

The corresponding decree of Moldovan President Maia Sandu on the start of negotiations and approval of the signing of the relevant agreement between Moldova and the EU was published in Monitorul Oficial. The Single Market Program (SMP) is being implemented in the EU in 2021-2027, its budget is 4.2 billion euros. The program is aimed at simplifying access to the internal markets of the EU countries, promoting business and its development, increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of companies and entire sectors of the economy. The program provides grants for effective law enforcement and the modernization of the legal framework, conducting research and evaluations, organizing capacity building activities and cooperation between competent authorities and EU decentralized agencies, sharing and disseminating experience and knowledge.
