
Moldova and Liechtenstein will expand trade, economic and investment cooperation.
This was said at a meeting of Prime Ministers of the two countries, Dorin Recean and Daniel Risch. They noted that this will become possible after the signing of a free trade agreement between Moldova and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which includes Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, scheduled for today. "We have new opportunities for cooperation in light of the signing of a free trade agreement with EFTA. This means more trade, more investment, and more opportunities for our people," Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean said during the meeting. The Moldovan and Liechtenstein heads of government discussed the main areas of cooperation and spoke in favor of deepening the bilateral agenda in the interests of both states. In this context, Moldovan Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the projects already implemented in Moldova through the Liechtenstein Development Service. In another context, Dorin Recean welcomed Liechtenstein's agreement with the European Union's decision to impose a sanctions regime against those who try to destabilize the situation in Moldova.
