
The fourth conference of the Moldova Support Platform will take place this year in Chisinau.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu following his working visit to Germany, carried out from March 27 to 29. In Berlin, the head of the Moldovan diplomacy held meetings with a number of high-ranking officials, including German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, with whom he discussed the process of our country's accession to the EU and thanked for the support within the framework of the Platform for Moldova. This platform was launched at the initiative of Germany, Romania and France in April 2022 and its 4th meeting will take place in Chisinau. Nicu Popescu also held meetings with a number of other high-ranking German officials, with whom he discussed issues related to the progress of our authorities in implementing the recommendations of the European Commission and transposing European legislation into national legislation, strengthening cooperation between Moldova and Germany in the field of security and defense, foreign policy priorities of the Moldovan government. In Berlin, Nicu Popescu also took part in an event organized by the European Council for Foreign Affairs, where he spoke about the process of our country's accession to the European Union, as well as how Moldova manages to cope with numerous hybrid attacks. They also discussed preparations for organizing the second summit of the European Political Community, which will be held in Moldova on June 1.
