Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu will take part in the 2nd meeting of the high-level dialogue between Moldova and the EU in the field of politics and security.

This was announced by the Foreign Ministry, noting that Nicu Popescu is on a working visit to Brussels on March 23-24, where he participates in the second meeting of the high-level dialogue between Moldova and the European Union in the field of politics and security. The Dialogue is a cooperation framework between Moldova and the EU that focuses on the security sector, as well as challenges related to the regional security situation and its humanitarian and economic impact on Moldova. The dialogue will focus on identifying concrete ways to increase the resilience of our country, especially in terms of cyber security, combating disinformation and strengthening cooperation under the European Peace Fund, as well as closer cooperation in the fight against hybrid threats. As part of his working visit, Nicu Popescu will meet in Brussels with Director General of the EU Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Gert Jan Koopman, members of the Cabinet of the President of the European Commission and the head of the Cabinet of the President of the European Council.
