The government has approved a new passport template, which will be protected by 45 elements (3 more than in the current template) and has a number of innovations. Thus, the current technology of data production and personalization on ink-jet printed paper and laminated with holographic overlay will be replaced by a data page on a multilayer synthetic polycarbonate base, personalized by laser engraving. This technology allows a wide range of security elements by simply touching, examining the document from an angle along with other hidden security elements and lab equipment. Another innovation concerns the dual contactless biometric ID scheme, which increases the protection of the document's data as well as the durability and strength of the form. The new passport sample should be put into circulation after the old AB series format forms are exhausted, but no later than April 30. // 15.03.2023 – InfoMarket
