Tariffs for production of passports for Moldovan citizens and issuance of electronic extracts from the information systems of the Public Services Agency will be reduced, starting August 1.

A decree to this effect was approved by the government at a meeting on Wednesday. Particularly, it will cost 650 lei instead of 850 lei for production of Moldovan passport within 20 working days, 1240 lei - for 10 days (instead of 1280), 1430 lei - for 5 days (instead of 1490), and 2080 lei - on request (instead of 2130). Annually, the Public Services Agency issues about 450 thousand passports, 60% of which are made within 20 working days. In addition, tariffs for services on issuing extracts from information resources of the Public Services Agency in the form of an electronic document, ordered through a web-application will be reduced by 20%. Currently the agency issues 7 such extracts, but from January 2023 their number is planned to increase to 27. In order to order and receive a statement electronically, the applicant must have an electronic signature. Another change - the cost of services for production of identity documents for refugees, beneficiaries of humanitarian protection and stateless persons will be reduced: production of document for 20 working days will cost 130 lei (instead of 350), for 10 days - 260 lei (instead of 700), for 5 days - 390 lei (instead of 1050), for 1 working day - 520 lei (instead of 1400), on the application day - 650 lei (instead of 1750 lei). According to the document, the media will be able to request and receive information from the information resources owned by the Public Services Agency free of charge (in the form of an electronic document, within 5 working days). Also, the Public Services Agency will provide free of charge services for identification of persons by portrait at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, MFAEI, SIS, prosecutor's offices and anti-corruption bodies. The service of removal of bans from the real estate register will also become free of charge; the terms and tariffs for the emigration authorization service will be changed.
