Polska Wytwornia Papierow Wartosciowych will supply 3 million forms for processing documents in Moldova for 130.5 million lei, which will reduce the cost of issuing passports by about 200 lei per unit.
This was announced by the Public Services Agency, noting that Polska Wytwornia Papierow Wartosciowych, controlled by the Polish Treasury, won the tender for the supply of forms for processing documents in Moldova. As a result, the Public Services Agency will save about 350 million lei, because during the canceled first tender, the company with a price of 500 million lei became the winner, despite the fact that it planned to supply even fewer forms. In addition, this will reduce the cost of issuing passports by about 200 lei per item. As recalled in the Public Services Agency, the auction, initiated in April 2021 by the former leadership of the agency, was canceled after an audit conducted by the Prime Minister's Control Service, which found a number of procurement-related violations. Today, May 13, a procurement contract was signed at the Public Services Agency for a period of 3 years, on the basis of which about 3 million forms will be purchased, including: 1.5 million passport forms, 1 million identity card forms, about 500 thousand forms type of ID1 cards (driver's license, registration certificate). Companies from 9 countries participated in the tender for the purchase of blank documents. Polska Wytwornia Papierow Wartosciowych, a securities issuer, offered the lowest price. Earlier, the former management of the Public Services Agency named the winner the company, which announced a price of 500 million lei for only 2 million forms. “The repeat purchase that we announced earlier this year included 2 lots: the first lot was for the purchase of blank ID cards from the national passport system, driver's licenses and registration certificates, and the second lot was for the purchase of equipment and products of a specialized program for the personalization of identity documents, driving licenses and technical passports. As a result of the auction, we received a total value of both lots of 150 million 719 thousand 369 lei, which is about 350 million lei less than the amount of the first purchase, which included only one batch of about 2 million blanks. Thus, today we can expect a reduction in the price of issuing passports by about 200 lei apiece,” Mircea Esanu, director of the Public Services Agency, said during the event. The winner of the second lot was the French company SELP, the contract with which will be signed next week. // 13.05.2022 — InfoMarket
