The Border Police of Moldova reminds that today, April 28, marks 8 years since the abolition of the visa regime for short-term travels of Moldovan citizens, holders of biometric passports, to EU and non-EU countries, members of the Schengen zone. The majority of tourists to the EU are young people aged 26-35 years - 592.6 thousand people. The next age category is people aged 46 years and older (546 thousand people) and from 36 to 45 years (451.1 thousand people). The most popular border crossing point was Leuseni Albita (873.2 thousand people exited through it). It is followed by Chisinau Airport (449.3 thousand holders of biometric passports) and Cahul-Oancea (424.2 thousand citizens of Moldova).
