
Those who lost their jobs during the state of emergency can receive an allowance of 1054 lei.
According to the decision of the National Commission for Emergency Situations, persons who lost their jobs during the state of emergency (from April 1 to May 31), but do not meet the conditions for obtaining unemployed status in accordance with the Law on Promotion of Employment and Unemployment Insurance, can apply for receiving unemployment benefits. It is provided on the basis of an application submitted to the territorial division of employment of the population. Officially employed on the basis of an individual labor or service contract, patent holders, as well as founders, partners or administrators of a legal entity and individual entrepreneurs, with the exception of those who are in the process of insolvency, liquidation, are inactive or do not receive income during the last 12 months preceding the date of registration. Unemployment benefits for the period of emergency cannot be received by pensioners, full-time students, persons who, at the time of the decision on the establishment of unemployment benefits, receive income. Benefits are provided within the limits of available funds. In case of exceeding the limit of funds, the benefits will be offered and approved after the amendments to the Law on the State Budget for 2021 are made. The amount of the benefit is approved at 1054 lei per month. Recall that last year, a state of emergency was introduced in Moldova in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, the amount of unemployment benefits for those who lost their jobs, including for citizens who returned from abroad, during this period amounted to 2,775 lei per month. // 09.04.2021 — InfoMarket
