Moldovan government approved on Tuesday the secondary regulatory framework necessary for the implementation of the previously adopted annual budgets for 2021.

As Prime Minister Ion Chicu said, the Cabinet meetings are traditionally held on Wednesdays, but since tomorrow at this time in parliament it is planned to discuss the opposition's initiative to express a vote of no confidence in the current government, it was decided to hold the meeting on Tuesday in order to approve mainly the secondary regulatory basis necessary for the implementation of the earlier-adopted annual budgets for the next year and already in force after the publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). Ion Chicu stressed that in order to implement the provisions of these main financial and economic documents provided for 2021, the Cabinet must approve separate resolutions. Thus, at a meeting on Tuesday, the government approved separate resolutions providing for a 30% increase in doctors’ salaries starting from January 1, 2021, the provision of the one-off financial aid worth 1,000 lei to pensioners and recipients of benefits below 4 thousand lei per month, allocation of money for maintenance and overhaul of national and local roads, including for the continuation of the Good Roads program. The Cabinet of Ministers also approved the size of the average salary in Moldova, projected for 2021, at the level of 8,716 lei, decided to increase the size of the one-off benefit for the birth of a child, childcare benefits, increase benefits for combatants to protect the territorial integrity and independence of Moldova and for those affected by the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, etc. // 22.12.2020 - InfoMarket.
