Snap parliamentary elections will take place next year, but now, the government's moral duty is to promote fiscal laws so that there are no problems with paying salaries and pensions in 2021 - Ion Chicu.
Prime Minister said this at a briefing on Monday after the traditional working meeting of Moldova’s top leadership while commenting on the requests for Cabinet’s resignation and snap parliamentary elections voiced on the eve during the citizens’ protest action. He noted that after the second round of presidential elections on November 15, in which Maia Sandu won, Moldova entered the next pre-election campaign for snap parliamentary elections and everyone is already preparing for these elections to take place next year. “The current and new president of Moldova, as well as the leaders of parliamentary parties must decide when snap elections should be held. But the government’s moral duty now is to promote fiscal laws for 2021 so that there are no problems with paying salaries and pensions in 2021,” Prime Minister said. He urged citizens to remain calm and MPs to be accountable, stressing that in the next two weeks, everyone, from the Prime Minister to MPs, must study the budgets and fiscal policy for 2021 in order to adopt them in final reading, and only after this, they will be free to consider any decision the society asks for. // 07.12.2020 - InfoMarket.
