
State of Public Health Emergency is effective throughout Moldova from November 30, 2020 until January 15, 2021.
According to the decision of the National Public Health Emergency Commission, during this period, catering establishments (restaurants, bars, canteens, cafes) are prohibited from serving visitors at night - from 22:00 to 07:00, the activities of nightclubs, discos, karaoke and similar establishments are prohibited. In addition, it is prohibited to hold events in theaters, cinemas, concert halls, houses of culture, as well as scientific conferences, sports competitions, Olympiads with people present physically. At the same time, it is allowed to organize meetings, single festive events, and mass gatherings with the participation of up to 50 people. For the entire period of the state of public health emergency, measures for the prevention and control of COVID-19 infection have been established. So, in public places it is necessary to maintain the social distance of 1 meter, and in all common open and closed spaces, especially in public transport, wearing protective masks is mandatory. The mask should cover the mouth and nose. Economic agents and government agencies must ensure strict adherence to measures to control and combat COVID-19, increased requirements apply to retail enterprises: daily triage of employees, thermometry of each visitor and hand sanitizers at the entrance; processing of baskets, carts and other trade accessories with disinfectants, wet cleaning - at least three times a day, etc. The entry of foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving from countries classified in the "red" zone is still prohibited in Moldova (the list is approved by the Ministry of Health every two weeks, today it includes 65 countries). Persons arriving from the "green" zone are not required to fill out the epidemiological card and observe the 14-day quarantine. As an exception, access to the country for certain categories of foreign citizens is provided (drivers of vehicles and service personnel of transport companies, holders of diplomatic passports and their family members, persons traveling for professional purposes, students and pupils who must take exams, etc.). The Commission recommended that the heads of public and private institutions establish flexible or special working hours, with the involvement of staff strictly necessary to ensure the functionality of the institution and staff whose activities require mandatory attendance at work.
