Moldovan authorities to unify from July 1, 2021 the VAT rate for the supply of agricultural raw materials, fertilizers and plant protection products to 12%.

This is provided by the amendments to the draft fiscal and customs policy for 2021, which the government supported after considering a package of amendments initiated by the MPs. The government insists that such a unification of the VAT rate is aimed at developing productivity and increasing the competitiveness of domestic agricultural products, therefore, they consider this measure expedient. At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers supported the idea to postpone the introduction of the unified VAT rate to the second half of 2021. Thus, from July 1, 2021, the VAT rate on fertilizers and plant protection products will decrease from 20% to 12%, while the VAT rate for the supply of agricultural products will increase from 8% to 12%. // 15.12.2020 - InfoMarket.
