The tax regime for the IT Park will remain unchanged until 2035, and the list of activities permitted in it will be expanded.
The corresponding draft amendments to the Law on Information Technology Parks were approved by the government at a meeting on Wednesday. Thus, the IT Park regime, with the preservation of a single tax of 7% of turnover, without the application of other taxes, will be extended for another 10 years. This will give the industry room for development, ensure its predictability, and provide a clear perspective to residents and potential investors in the IT sector. The list of permitted activities in the IT Park will also be expanded: call centers and contact centers, as well as providers of other employment services, including export-oriented ones, will be able to operate there. It was also decided to establish a park council - a collegial body responsible for approving the park administration's activity plan and development strategy, approving reports and budget, managing the Park's risk management system, etc. The bill must be approved by the parliament. Currently, the IT Park, which opened in Moldova in 2018, can only operate for 10 years - until December 31, 2027. Today, Moldova IT Park has more than 1,500 residents, 40% of which are companies founded by foreign investors from 38 countries. // 06.12.2023 - InfoMarket
