Over the last 3 months, the number of digitized public services for business has increased by 8 p.p. and amounts to 47.8%.

As reported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the progress made in the digitalization of public services was discussed at a meeting with representatives of public institutions that provide services to entrepreneurs. The head of the ministry, Dumitru Alaiba, said that such dynamics was achieved thanks to the efforts of ANSA, INSP, CNAS, AGEPI, Moldac and others. At the same time, he noted that about 33% of the 251 services digitized so far were not in demand, while entrepreneurs preferred to use them at the operators' counters. At present, the services of 7 authorities in Moldova are 75-100% digitized, while the services of the Energy Efficiency Agency, the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture, the Transplantation Agency, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Justice are still not digitized. The services of the Customs Service are digitized at 11% and those of the State Tax Service at 59%, etc. The minister noted that each institution should promote its digital services, as it means speed, convenience, lack of bureaucracy and corruption risks. "Why waste time, money and effort standing in queues when one can request a service in a few clicks, much easier and more efficient. The transition to digital services not only brings increased efficiency, but also helps to eliminate the possibility of corruption," said Dumitru Alaiba, urging all institutions to promote digital services. // 16.10.2023 - InfoMarket.
